Monthly Prayers and Goals

The month of February is traditionally dedicated to the Holy Family, and we pray:
Holy Family make our family like yours. Bless us and guide us.
Prayer to the Holy Family(from the sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth)
Jesus, Mary, Joseph, model for all Christian families, I entrust my family to your care and protection. Bless each member of my family. Help me and the members of my family to love, listen to, support and accept one another. Encourage us to challenge one another to be compassionate, merciful and forgiving as we struggle with the difficulties of our lives.Guide us to seek goodness and holiness in our everyday choices, actions and attitudes.Encourage us when our faith is weak and when we fail to lead one another to Christ. Make our home a real dwelling place of peace, joy and love, where you are ever present among us. May we work to uphold each one's dignity, integrity and unique contributions to the well-being and growth of our family. And when our time on earth is complete, bring us all safely home to you in the company of heaven. Amen.

The month of October is dedicated to the rosary. Therefore, it is fitting and proper that every day in October at 8:30am in the Church we will recite the rosary led by our different Parish Ministries. We encourage our parishioners to join us as we pray to our Blessed Mother for grace and assistance in our daily lives.
Sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Introductory Prayer.
Dear Mary, help us to pray the rosary, so that we overcome, with serenity the trials and tribulations which satan inflict on us. Hail Mary these roses from our hearts are for you, because we love you so much.Roses of love and gratitude to make a garland for Jesus and you. Mary our Mother, receive this garland of rosary and help us to overcome evil by loving you and your Son Jesus more.
Amen.
Queen of the Holy Rosary, you came to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children the treasures of grace hidden in the Rosary.Inspire our heart with a sincere love of this devotion, in order that by meditating on the Mysteries of our Redemption which are recalled in it, we may obtain peace for the world, the conversion of sinners, and our intentions and desires.we ask it for the greater glory of God, for your own honour, and for the good of souls, especially for our own.
Amen.
We unite with all the Angels and Saints in Heaven, with all the just on earth, and with all the faithful now praying. We unite with Thee, O my Jesus, in order to praise worthily Thy holy Mother, and to praise Thee in her and through her. We renounce all the distractions that we may have during this Rosary, which we wish to say with modesty, attention and devotion, just as if it were to be the last of our lives. We offer Thee, O most Holy Trinity, this Creed in honour of all the mysteries of our Faith; this Our Father and these three Hail Marys in honour of the unity of Thy Essence and the Trinity of Thy Persons.we ask of Thee a lively faith, a firm hope and an ardent charity.
Amen
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.
1* Our Father,3 Hail Mary and 1 * Glory Be

Prayers for our dearly departed ones
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon them.May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
It is popularly believed that Our Lord told St. Gertrude that the following prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well.
Prayer Of St. Gertrude The Great
“Eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my home and within my family. Amen.”
Christ The King Feast Day prayer
O Jesus Christ, I acknowledge you as the universal King. All that has been made has been created for You. Exercise all Your rights over me. I renew my Baptismal Vows. I renounce Satan, his pomps and his works; I promise to live as a good Christian. And, in particular do I pledge myself to labor, to the best of my ability, for the triumph of the rights of God and of Your Church. Divine Heart of Jesus, to You do I offer my poor services, laboring that all hearts may acknowledge Your sacred kingship, and that thus the reign of Your peace be established throughout the whole universe. Amen.

On November 30, we start the St.Andrew’s Christmas Novena prayer. It got its name because it starts on the feast day of St.Andrew. It is a very short and yet a deeply meaningful 25 day Advent prayer to prepare for Christmas. This prayer is directed to God Himself and helps us to think of the sacred moment in which Christ was born as a human through Blessed Virgin, to obtain our salvation. And so we pray:
St.Andrew’s Christmas Novena prayer
“Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.”
THE CHRISTMAS NOVENA (25th December - 3rd January)
(adapted from the writings of St. Alphonsus de Liguori)
December 25 ( Friday ) First Day.
Reflection
Love of God, which is revealed in His becoming a man and thank Him for His immense love. The Lord of Heaven and earth, chose to become like us, willing to die for us, in order to win back for us the life of divine grace that we had lost by sin. Keeping this in mind, let us thank for His immense love and love Him more.
Prayer
O Great Son of God, You became one of us in order to make Yourself loved by us. But instead of repaying You with love, we spurn You with ingratitude. Forgive me all the offences I have committed against You. Let me no longer live in ungrateful forgetfulness of Your love and may I always persevere in this holy desire. Sweetest Infant, in the name of thy blessed Mother Mary, comfort me, bless me and grant me the joy to praise you forever with all my heart. Amen.
O Mary, Mother of God and my Mother, pray for me that your Son may give me the grace to love Him always unto death. Amen.
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.
December 26 ( Saturday ) Second Day.
Reflection
God’s love, which resulted in His becoming a helpless baby. He didn’t chose to come as an adult like Adam, whom He created. But as He came as a child to draw our attention and grab our love. Keeping this in mind, let us thank for His immense love and love Him more.
Prayer
O dearest Infant! You have come looking for me, the lost sheep, so that, instead of fleeing from You, may I rest in Your loving arms. Never may withdraw from You, but constantly to love You in all the years that still lie before me in this life.Sweetest Infant, in the name of thy blessed Mother Mary, comfort me, bless me and grant me the joy to praise you forever with all my heart. Amen.
O Mary, you are my advocate. By your prayers obtain whatever you will from your Son. Pray Him then to forgive me, and to grant me holy perseverance until death. Amen.”

Prayer to Most Holy Name of Jesus
The Golden Arrow
May the holiest, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in heaven on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar.
This prayer is said to have been revealed by Jesus Himself to a Carmelite Nun of Tours in 1843 as a reparation for blasphemy. "This Golden Arrow will wound My Heart delightfully," He said, "and heal the wounds inflicted by blasphemy."
